Sandra Jones

Sandy JonesSandy started playing golf at seventeen under the guidance of her father, a golf professional. Her winning ways started in 1960 with the Ridgewood Club Championship. Along the way, she collected the Greater Cincinnati Women’s Championship in 1966, was runner-up three times and medalist seven times of that championship. In 1974 she added the Women’s Ohio State Championship title to her list of accomplishments. Prior to that year, she was runner-up in 1971 and 1973 and was medalist in 1973. A Terrace Park Country Club champion twelve times, Sandy holds the course record of 68, established prior to recent renovations.

During her years in competitive golf, Sandy qualified for the Trans Mississippi, played in the LPGA Buckeye Invitational, the LPGA Lady Carling Open and the USGA Women’s Championship. Sandy was a 1995 Legends of Cincinnati Golf honoree. She has been on the Executive Board of the Greater Cincinnati Women’s Golf Association serving as Tournament Chairman and President.
